December 28th Having Heavenly Hope Now!

Psalm 36:7-9

7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

Believer, If we look around too much we can soon begin to feel hopeless. This year has been devastating, depressing, and discouraging - just where the devil wants us. But if we shift our focus upward toward heaven and downward into God’s open Book we can find hope. We can have HOPE now by looking to the future.

Todays scripture focuses on now and the future. We know our God is full of love, kindness and is trustworthy. He has never failed you. He never will. He has never left you. He never will. Under his protective wings we find HOPE!

When we go to His Heavenly House (where there are many mansions John 14:1-3) we will be totally and abundantly satisfied. The flesh is never satisfied, but one day our soul will experience a total satisfaction we have never felt. The house has “fatness” which means a great abundance for our satisfaction. We shall drink from the river of pleasures he has prepared for us. We will be neck deep and swimming in wonderful things he has flowing just for us. Oh what HOPE his home puts in our hearts!

Oh believer their is a fountain there. Jesus said whosoever wants to can come and drink freely of the water of life! We shall see the light like never before - because of His great light shining on us. No need for sun nor moon for the Lamb is the light of that home. Soon we will be there! Oh what HOPE!
