HandBook Of Happiness

Psalm 2:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Last week we began a look at Psalm 1 which tells us how to be biblicallay happy. Verse 1 told us that we will be blessed or happy when we walk a separated walk and “avoid sin”. We don’t cuddle up with the ungodly, nor stand with sinful folks, nor laugh with the mockers. That’s step #1.

Lets now look to the key in verse #2: “absorb scripture”! Do you delight in God’s Word? God said the happy man will get great joy from the Bible. How precious is the word to you? I mean is your copy of the holy scriptures your most prized possession?

Psalm 37:4 tells us that if we delight in the LORD he will give us the desires of our heart. We know and delight in Him through his word. So the happy are separated in their walk but also saturated with God’s Word.

Is your soul set on living in God’s ways? Then he will never disappoint you. His Word is the source of happiness, hope and heaven. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Faith is the highway to Heaven- faith in Jesus Christ.

See here the happy person has a steady diet of God’s Word. He feeds day and night....Meditates. I don’t think this means twice a day, but constantly, whether it’s day or night. The happy person is thinking about the promises of His Word and salvation.

Amen in us!
