January 25th What Will Your Bible Say?

Job 23:

11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.

12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

The Bible says we must all appear at the Judgement Seat of Christ to give an account for our deeds. For the saved child of God, this means an accounting of what we did with the truth we had while we were saved. Rewards will be given accordingly. These rewards include 5 different crowns that we can give back to the Worthy Lamb - Jesus Christ.

There is a record being kept In heaven. Jesus said we would give an account for every idle word we speak. So those words we speak will be a witness for us our against us. We will also give an account for every deed we did, whether good or evil.

Paul speaks of a crown of rejoicing, those who Paul had led to the Lord being there with him and Jesus. ”For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.” (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20) So those we have helped for Jesus in this life will be a witness for us or against us.

What if your bible shows up at your judgement? Your copy of God’s Word Is a valuable possession. (The most valuable possession to me) Will Your Bible show up looking shiney and new. Spotless? Dusty? Or will the pages be worn and tattered. Will it have any notes or prayers written in it. Will there be any tear stains where you prayed over it for some lost soul? Are there Tears for some loved one gone on to be with Jesus? What will your Bible say about your love for what God had to say.

To be judged by “the truth you possessed“ means we ought to know that truth cover to cover. God wants to speak to our heart. Job said the words of His mouth were more important than eating.
