March 11 What Manner Of Love?

1 John 3:1-3

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

“Oh How Deep The Father’s Love for Us, how vast beyond all measure, the He would Give His only Son, to make this wretch His treasure“ the song goes. It seems to me we cannot even begin to understand what kind of love God has for us. It is incomprehensible He would love this dust so very much that He would:

- Plan lovingly for each of us; before the foundation of the world planned our creation and knowing our fall, He planned redemption for us. (Revelation 13:8)

- Passionately love us, pursuing us since the garden to be restored in a daily walk with Him

- Prove His Love for us....for He made Him who knew no sin, sin for us, that we by Him may be called the righteous of God

- Purify us through love.....our washing clean came with a huge price.

- Promises His Love For us throughout eternity.

- Put us in the family of love....that we should be called the sons and daughters of God.

Praise God for His Permanent shall we ever be with the Lord. What an unspeakable gift!
